Originally from Utah, I am currently living in Nevada. I served in the army from 1988-1992, eventually graduating from Southern Utah University for my undergraduate work in History, and UNR for my graduate work in Literacy Studies. I teach History and remedial reading. My first chapbook, Four Way Stop, was published by Main-Traveled Roads in 2005. My second chapbook, Gathering Up the Scattered Leaves, has just been released from Foothills Press. I have another chapbook, Working in the Birdhouse, which will soon be released from Foothills Press as well. I was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2005, and received an honorable mention in the Nevada Arts Coucil Artist Grants Program for the 2007-2008 year. I have completed my first full length manuscript and I am currently submitting it for publication.
